Tiny Tim
Rather than record Tiny with his trademark ukulele, we thought it a better idea to ask Tiny what he would like to do if he had the chance to do the "album of his dreams." He said that he wanted to do a tribute to his favorite crooner, Russ Columbo. at first, Tiny didn't think it possible as the songs that he selected and the tribute that he wanted to pay Columbo, were all done with a big band. Under the musical direction of the muti talented Paul Reller, we recorded Tiny's dream album live on a sound stage to re-create the songs the way Columbo had recorded them more than a half century before. The result is amazing! Prisoner Of Love is a collection of recordings that no one (including Tiny) thought could happen, but we at Ponk are interested in realizing artists' dreams. Listen to the audio clip below and you will hear Tiny tell you how he felt about the recordings. By his own admission, these recordings are the highlight of his extremely colorful career. we can't be happier about the recordings and now we are offering them back to the public after they have been digitally re-mastered by Kramer and they have never sounded better. Step back in time and enjoy these wonderful recordings. You will not be disappointed. CD is due out in late March. We are also working on a DVD as well.
